Anula is the Off-Site Editorial Lead for WhistleOut Australia, and an award winning tech journalist. She has been writing about the Australian telco industry, and consumer technology for over five years, and has been known to tell her Uber driver which phone they should upgrade to next.
After many years writing long form articles, Anula now heads up publication and distribution of WhistleOut’s editorial content on social platforms with a focus on video. She still pops up on site writing consumer tech reviews, gushing about robot vacuums, and penning opinion pieces that intersect the human experience with technology. Her work contributed to WhistleOut Australia winning the Best Consumer Technology Coverage award at the 2023 IT Journalism Awards, and she won the Consensus Award for Best Feature Writer in 2024.
She plans on taking out the Best Short Form Content award at the IT Journalism Awards in the future. It is on her vision board.
Away from the laptop you’ll find Anula hunched over a sewing machine instead, or out in the garden chasing butterflies away from her plants.
