Like a number of Mobile Virtual Network Operators (MVNOs) Belong's offering is all about simplicity. All plans are contract-free and include unlimited calls and SMS to Australian numbers. You just need to choose how much data you want. There are a few extra perks you can take advantage of, including:

• International roaming. You don't need to be with a bigger brand for an international roaming solution. Belong offers 3GB of data, unlimited standard SMS and 150 minutes of calls with a 15-day expiry for $30. International roaming is available in 45 destinations
• International calls and texts. For an extra $5 per month, you can add unlimited international calls and texts to 30 destinations. On the most expensive Belong mobile plan this comes included
• Unlimited data.  Belong is one of a few telcos that offers unlimited data mobile plans and no excess data charges. This means if you use all your data for the month, you'll get access to unlimited data capped at speeds of 1Mbps which is enough for very basic browsing
• Data banking. Each of Belong's mobile plans comes with unlimited data banking. At the end of your billing period, any unused full-speed data is rolled over to the next billing cycle. You can even switch to a cheaper or more expensive Belong plan and keep any banked data
• Data gifting. Banked too much data? If you think you'll never use it you can donate it to other Belong customers in 1GB increments, the gifted data is added to their data bank. This is great for offloading unused data to family or friends who need it

Belong mobile speed caps 

Like many providers, Belong now has introduced speed caps. On most of Belong's plans, the speed caps out at 150Mbps. On its largest plan, speeds cap at 250Mbps.

But keep in mind - that's still plenty fast enough to do all the stuff you normally do online - browse the internet, watch videos, play games, etc. To put the speed cap in perspective, 100Mbps is the speed offered by NBN 100 plans, which we normally recommend to support a household of four or more heavy internet users.

No matter which Belong plan you choose you can expect speeds somewhere above NBN 100 and under or equal to NBN 250.

What happens if I want to cancel my Belong plan?

Because all its plans are contract-free, you can cancel at any time without being penalised. Keep in mind any unused gigs in your data bank will be forfeited.

What happens if I go over my monthly data allowance? 

Belong doesn't charge for excess data and instead offers unlimited data. Once you use up the data that comes included with your plan your maximum sped will be capped to 1Mbps - just enough for basic activities. 

What network does Belong use?

Belong is owned and operated by Telstra and runs on parts of the 4G and 5G Telstra networks in Australia. 

Does Belong have 5G?

Yes, each of Belong's mobile plans comes with access to 5G if you have a 5G-enabled device. 

Can I make overseas calls with Belong?

Yes, you can add overseas calls to 30 destinations with Belong for $5 per month. This is included on Belong's largest plan. Otherwise, the add-on can be activated with Belong's app or online when logged in.
