SpinTel recently launched its first NBN 1000 plan, and new customers will pay just $95 per month for the first six months. After the "honeymoon discount" is over, the price jumps to $105.95 per month, which is still cheaper than any other NBN 1000 plan in the WhistleOut database.
For example, Superloop charges $99 per month for the first six months on its NBN 1000 plan, and then $109 per month thereafter. iiNet has similar pricing, but is $0.99 per month expensive.
Here's how SpinTel's NBN 1000 plan compares:
SpinTel's NBN 1000 plan does have slower typical evening speeds than some competitors, however. SpinTel is only reporting 650Mbps during the busiest parts of the day, while Superloop currently advertises 811Mbps.
Swoop has the fastest NBN plan in our database, reporting typical evening speeds of 969Mbps. This comes at a cost: customers will pay $119 for the first six months and then $139 per month.
The 650Mbps on SpinTel's NBN plan is still a pretty respectable typical evening speed, however, with many providers reporting similar on the speed tier.
NBN 1000 plans are only available to those with an FTTP or HFC NBN connection.
