
Price increases take effect from today for Telstra and Boost Mobile's prepaid plans.
Initially flagged back in July, the pricing of most prepaid plans from both providers has increased by $4.
Telstra's seven-day expiry plan has seen a $1 increase, while its 28-day expiry plans have all gone up by $4 per month. Telstra's two long expiry plans have gone up by between $20 and $30 respectively – broken down into a monthly figure that's a $2.50 and $4 increase. All base data inclusions and speed caps for Telstra's prepaid plans remain the same.
Telstra is currently offering between 25 to 40GB of bonus data on its 28-day expiry plans for the first three recharges when you purchase a prepaid SIM and activate it by March 10, 2025.

Boost Mobile, which uses the full Telstra mobile network has also put up prices on its seven-day and 28-day expiry plans. Its long expiry plans have remained unchanged although it discontinued its 160GB recharge option.

Similarly to Telstra, you can get bonus data for the first three recharges on Boost's 28-day expiry plans, when you activate before March 10, 2025.
While Boost Mobile is the only carrier that utilises the full Telstra network (covering 99.6% of Australians) the rest of the providers on the Telstra network still reach 98.8% of Australians – more than Optus or Vodafone.
