Research from WhistleOut helps 7News highlight how many Australians are in the dark about the home internet service they pay for every month.
Recent research from telco comparison service WhistleOut shows that 29 per cent of NBN customers don’t know what speed they are paying for, while one-in-six Australians have no idea what kind of internet connection they have at all.
WhistleOut spokesperson Kenny McGilvary says it’s more important now than ever to know what internet connection you’re paying for, to avoid wasting money or missing out on better performance.
“The impact of COVID-19 has put a spotlight on the importance of having a good home internet connection but unless you know what service you’re using you won’t know if you’re paying too much or could do better for the same price.
“Most home internet plans now come with unlimited data and it’s the speed of the service that makes the biggest difference to the user experience, and the price you pay.
