ALDI is increasing mobile plan prices from September 24, and as part of the process, axing its cheapest plan. The telco is discontinuing its $19 recharge with 10GB, and suggesting customers opt for a new $23 recharge with 12GB instead.
Customers with auto-recharge on the $19 plan will automatically be moved to the $23 option after September 24. Customers who don't have auto-recharge will be prompted to choose a new plan.
ALDI will also stop offering its $25 recharge with 22GB on September 24, but customers currently on this plan will be able to stay on it for the foreseeable future. Customers on this plan and then swap to a different option will lose access to it permanently.
Customers on ALDI's old $20 recharge (which is no longer available to new customers) will also be moved to the new $23 recharge with 12GB.

The changes will put ALDI's prepaid plans more in line with other Telstra network providers like Tangerine, where you'll also pay $23 per month for 12GB, or Superloop where you pay $25 per month for 15GB.
Here's a selection of plans on the Telstra network with at least 12GB:
Notably, Everyday Mobile also has a $25 recharge with 22GB. While ALDI is discontinuing its equivalent product, Everyday Mobile has committed to not increasing the price of its mobile plans in 2025. This promise includes the $25 recharge.
