ALDI is upping select mobile plan prices from September 30, and as part of the process, killing off its cheapest plan. The telco's $23 recharge with 12GB will be discontinued, as will its $29 recharge with 29GB.
Existing customers will be able to stay on these plans, and new customers who sign up for either by September 29 will be able to keep the existing pricing until August 31 next year. Customers who swap to a different recharge will lose access entirely, however.
The plans being discontinued are being replaced by a new $28 recharge with 32GB. For customers on the $29 plan, this actually works out to be a better deal.
Customers on ALDI's old $25 recharge (which is no longer available to new customers) will also be moved to the new $28 recharge with 32GB.

The changes to ALDI's prepaid plans mean the starting price for Telstra network provider plans will rise to $25 per recharge.
Here's a selection of the cheapest Telstra network plans in our database:
ALDI Mobile is also increasing the pricing of its family plans:
- The $55 5G Family Plan (50GB) will become the $60 5G Family Plan (90GB)
- The $95 5G Family Plan (100GB) will become the $118 5G Family Plan (118GB)
- The $125 5G Family Plan (150GB) will become the $160 5G Family Plan (270GB)
Customers on these plans who have auto recharge switched on will automatically be moved to the new equivalent plan after September 30. Customers who don't have auto recharge on will need to select a new plan on their first recharge after September 30.
