OPPO's Reno 13 series phones are now available in Australia, and there are some solid offers for anyone who picks one up before April 23.
If you pick up the standard Reno 13 or Reno 13 F, you'll get a gift voucher from the retailer you bought it from. $150 for the Reno 13, or $75 for the Reno 13 F. Participating retailers include JB Hi-Fi, Harvey Norman, Officeworks, Big W, and the OPPO eStore.
If you pick up the higher-end Reno 13 Pro, you'll get the newly announced OPPO Watch X2, valued at $699. The Watch X2 is a WearOS 5-powered smartwatch that has all the usual bells and whistles you'd expect from an Android-compatible wearable.
A key differentiator is battery life, with OPPO claiming the Watch X2 can last up to five days per charge in "smart mode" or up to 16 hours in "endurance mode". OPPO also says a 10-minute charge can give up to 24 hours of use.
Battery life is also a key feature on the new Reno 13 series. The Reno 13 Pro and Reno 13 F both have a 5,800mAh battery, while the standard Reno 13 has a 5,600mAh cell. We've typically seen battery capacity max out at 5,000mAh on Android phones, but OPPO started using larger batteries with the Find X8 Pro.
When we tested the Find X8 Pro at the end of last year, we found the battery was the best we'd tested on any Android flagship phone, comfortably achieving at least eight hours of screen time per charge. The Find X8 Pro does have a slightly larger 5,910mAh battery, however.
The Reno 13 family starts at $599 for the Reno 13 F, jumps to $899 for the standard Reno 13, and maxes out at $1,299 for the Reno 13 Pro.
