Samsung has announced a wider One UI 9 rollout for Galaxy S device owners in Australia.
After debuting on the recently announced Galaxy S26 FE and next-generation foldables like the Galaxy Z Fold 8, the rest of Samsung’s premium hardware from this year is now due to get a software upgrade. Starting from the second half of September, the Samsung Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26 Plus, and Galaxy S26 Ultra will all graduate from One UI 8 to One UI 9.
As per usual, the new version of Samsung’s Android skin comes with a few new features. This list includes the new My FanCam camera mode as well as generative and editable cards within the Now Brief app.
One UI 9 also brings with it improvements to other Samsung apps like Now Nudge, Creative Studio, Interpreter and Document Scan. Those who upgrade to the newer software will also benefit from added security features like AI-powered briefings, privacy alerts and expanded scam detection.
According to Samsung, "One UI 9 brings an easier, more seamless mobile experience across form factors, as well as enhanced Galaxy AI that is richer, more personal, and more helpful".
