If you’re not receiving a specific error message but your stream isn’t working properly, there are a few things you can try first.

Check your internet connection

We know that it’s basic, but there could be an underlying issue with your internet connection. Check that your device is connected, and run a speed test to ensure that it is running fast enough to support Binge streaming.

You’ll need the below speeds as a minimum in order to stream Binge seamlessly.

If you’re not getting the minimum download speeds then you’ll want to figure out why your internet connection is slow and how to fix it.

Reset your stream or your device

If you’re having trouble accessing the platform you can try resetting your stream and starting fresh. Depending on how you’re watching there are a few ways you can do this.

Resetting Binge on mobile devices: The easiest way to reset Binge on your mobile device is to close the application, before opening it again.

Error message: Access Denied

The problem: You may be using an incompatible device, or may be on a VPN.
How to fix it:

1. Check that your device is compatible with Binge.

Error message: Asset is not available in your location

The problem: You’re IP address is located outside of Australia
How to fix it:

1. If you’re out of the country you won’t be able to access Binge. You could book a flight if you really want to.
2. Turn off any VPN that may be masking your location within Australia.

Browser not supported

The problem: You’re either using an incompatible browser or you need to download the latest update for your chosen web browser.

1. Check to see that you are using a compatible browser.
2. Update your chosen browser to the latest version.

Error message: Error 404

The problem: Your app needs to be reset.
How to fix it:

Error message: Error 9999

The problem: There is an issue with your browser, or you’re running a VPN.
How to fix it: 

1. If you’re using a VPN, disable it.
2. Make sure you’re using a compatible browser.
3. Restart your device.

Error message: Error 005

The problem: You need to clear your cache.
How to fix it: 

1. Clear your cache.
2. If that doesn’t work, try basic Binge troubleshooting.

Error message: Exceed maximum streams

The problem: You are attempting to stream on more devices than your plan allows.
How to fix it: 

1. You’ll need to stop streaming on one or more devices.
2. Upgrade your Binge subscription to cater for more simultaneous streams.

Error message: HTTP 403

The problem: Your Chrome browser is out of date.
How to fix it: 

1. Change which browser you are using, or
2. Update your Chrome browser to the latest version.
3. Close, and reopen your browser.

Error message: Invalid state

The problem: An unknown error has occurred.
How to fix it: 

1. Go through basic Binge troubleshooting

Error message: License denied

The problem: You’re either using a VPN or an incompatible browser.
How to fix it: 

1. Check to see that you’re using a compatible browser or device.
2. If you have a VPN on, turn it off.
3. Restart your device or browser.

Error message: Media playback troubles have been detected

The problem: Your internet connection is unstable, or not fast enough.
How to fix it: 

1. Perform a speed test to make sure you have a fast enough connection to stream.
2. Reboot your modem.
3. Restart your browser or device.

Error message: Mobile already in use

The problem: You’re trying to sign up with a mobile number that is already connected to a Stremotion account - for example, Kayo or another Binge account.
How to fix it: 

1. A mobile number can only be linked to one Streamotion account.
2. You’ll need to login with your existing credentials.
3. Follow the prompts to resubscribe.

Error message: N1

The problem: You’re either using a VPN, or there is a problem with your browser or app.
How to fix it: 

1. If you’re using a VPN, you’ll need to disable it.
2. If not, try restarting your browser or device,
3. Make sure your browser is running the latest version.

Error message: Oops, try again later

The problem: Your cache is full.
How to fix it: 

1. Clear your cache.
2. Reboot your browser or device.

Error message: Sorry, our products are only available to customers within Australia

The problem: You’re either out of the country, or using a VPN

The problem: There has been an issue with signing in to your account.

1. This usually occurs on an Android device, you’ll need to clear your cache.
2. Go to settings > storage > device storage > internal storage > cached data > tap OK
3. These steps may vary slightly depending on your Android device

Error message: To access this video, you’ll need to sign in first

The problem: You’re not signed in to your Binge account.
How to fix it: 

1. If you’ve already got an account, make sure that you are signed in.
