Almost annually, Disney Plus reviews and subsequently increases its prices. And since it started offering sports content on ESPN and access to Hulu, it has come at a literal cost.
For subscribers feeling stung by the latest price hike, we have some deals and promos that will earn Disney Plus viewers either a discount, free access or just help get the most out of their subscription.

How many Australians subscribe to Disney Plus?
Get two months free with Disney annual
While Disney Plus does run sales every now and again, it doesn’t have any at the moment. But if you plan to explore a galaxy far, far away for a very, very long time, it's worth investing in a Disney Plus annual streaming subscription.
By committing to a full year, annual subscribers to Disney Plus' Standard tier will save just $35.89 annually, while Premium tier subscribers will save $49.89 a year.
Either way this averages out to be just under two months free. Compare how much each Disney Plus subscription tier will set you back, without a discount, by checking out the different plans below:
It might seem counterintuitive but cancelling your streaming service can actually be the easiest way to score a discount. In fact, last time we "cancelled" Disney Plus, we were offered 25% off Disney Plus Premium for the next six months, saving us $31.50.
Disney Plus perks program
One sure-fire way to score a deal is with Disney Plus itself. Disney Plus has a unique perks offering, which includes prizes and giveaways, like holidays and free movie passes. You can also score early-access to tickets and merch, invites to premieres and red carpet events and exclusive deals and discounts off theme park merch, like toys, apparel and more.
Simply become a Disney Plus member and opt into Disney's marketing emails to get all the perks sent directly to your inbox.
Here are some examples of the Disney Plus Perks on offer in Australia:
- Discounts off LVLY flower service
- Score Hoyts movie vouchers
- Win merchandise packs
- Win passes to select concerts and stage plays
- Watch in full HD on two devices
- Save between $38 and $49 per year
- Watch exclusive content from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars™, National Geographic, Hulu and ESPN
Earn Qantas Frequent Flyer points
Sometimes a perk is just as good as a discount, and if you're a Qantas Frequent Flyer, this one's for you. If you're interested in becoming a Disney Plus subscriber, you will earn nine points per $1, when you sign up by clicking through from Qantas Shopping.
Usually the deal is for one point per $1 spent and while we have also seen five points on offer previously, the current nine points per $1 spent offer super generous. This means if you were to sign up to Disney Plus' Annual Premium tier (the highest available) you'll bank 2,241 points.
However, there are a few caveats. Firstly, Disney Plus subscribers must sign up to the streaming service via Qantas Shopping Online Mall.
Secondly, Qantas Points are only valid for the first year of an annual subscription, or the first month of a monthly subscription. If you are an existing or returning customer, you won't be eligible to earn the triple Qantas Points either.
And thirdly, this offer is for online shopping only.
Bundle Disney Plus with Telstra
This one is more of a convenient perk rather than a discount. Telstra postpaid customers can bundle their Disney Plus and Telstra bills into a single payment. While this doesn't come with any savings, it does make tracking your bills easier by being more organised into a single payment.
This option is available to new customers who either sign up for the first time via Telstra. Otherwise if you're an existing or returning Disney Plus customer, you can can simply add your streaming account to your Telstra bill.
