Apple TV is an outlier amongst the many streaming services that have found their way to Australian shores. In a crowded market, Apple TV has made a name for itself by prioritising its own exclusive quality over quantity and has multiple awards to show for it.
While Apple TV doesn’t have an extensive collection like Netflix, Binge, or Stan, it often seems to be left out of the conversation for “best streaming service”. But if Apple's exclusive titles are still calling to you, here are some ways to save on your subscription.
But first, here's how much Apple TV will set you back without a discount:

Get three months free with an eligible Apple device
Sure Apple TV offers its usual seven-day free trial but there’s a much, much longer trial period for anyone who has recently purchased an eligible Apple device.
If you’ve just invested in a new iPhone 18 device or another eligible iPhone model, iPad, Mac, or Apple TV device, can claim three months of complimentary Apple TV viewing.
From the moment you set up your new eligible Apple device, you’ve got 90 days to claim your three-month Apple TV trial. Just like the seven-day trial, you will be automatically charged $15.99 per month the moment you go over your three-month threshold, so if you’re not exactly loving what Apple TV Plus has to offer, tell Siri to remind you to cancel before three months is up.
You’re probably not going to buy a new Apple device just for three months of Apple TV, but the fact remains that if you were already planning on subscribing to the streaming service, you’ll save $48 with your next Apple device purchase. Here’s a quick look at some of the most popular iPhone plans currently available.
Get a 30-day trial of Apple TV
New and eligible returning Apple TV subscribers can score a massive 30-day free trial of Apple TV. After this trial period ends, you will be charged $15.99 per month unless you cancel beforehand. This offer is valid until January 7 2027 with the below link.

The Apple One deal only makes sense for those who are truly committed to the entire Apple tree (see what we did there?)
If that sounds like you, prepare to save some decent dosh on your favourite Apple apps. Better yet, every Apple One plan comes with a 30-day free trial. So even if you're just in it for Apple TV, you can still get a full month for free without paying anything. The only difference is you'll pay a higher price if you forget to cancel before your 30 days are up.
Below we've broken down the prices and inclusions of each Apple One plan currently on offer:
| Plan | Cost | Free trial | Inclusions | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Apple One Individual Plan | $24.95/mth | 30 days | Apple TV, Apple Music, Apple Arcade, iCloud + 50GB storage | |
| Apple One Family Plan | $34.95/mth | 30 days | Apple TV, Apple Music, Apple Arcade, iCloud + 200GB storage for up to five family members | |
| Apple One Premium Plan | $52.95/mth | 30 days | Apple TV, Apple Music, Apple Arcade, iCloud + 2TB storage, Apple News +, Apple Fitness + for up to five family members |
Get a seven-day free trial of Apple TV
Whether you’re an Apple user or not, anyone with access to the internet can take Apple TV for a spin for seven days without paying a cent. Once signed up, you will have seven days to check out shows like Severance and The Studio free of charge.
The only catch is that if you forget to cancel before the seven-day period is officially up, you’ll automatically be charged for your first month ($15.99). The Apple TV Plus seven-day free trial is only available to new subscribers.
Get Apple TV free seven-day trialApple TV Annual Plan
If you’ve already taken a bite out of Apple TV and you want more for as cheap as you can get it, you can always pay for a year upfront for a sizeable discount.
If you pay month-to-month, you’ll end up forking out $32.88 extra a year, so essentially being an annual subscriber gets you two months for free.
| Plan | Monthly cost | Annual cost | More |
|---|---|---|---|
| Apple TV (Monthly) | $15.99 per month | $191.88 per year | View Plan |
| Apple TV (Annual Plan) | $13.25 per month | $159 per year | View Plan |
Apple doesn't make the discounted annual plan if you're not already a subscriber. In order to get the 12-month deal, you will need to either sign up for the seven-day free trial or reactivate your subscription if you're a returning customer.
Once you're account is active again, you will need to click or tap your Apple avatar or user icon and select 'Manage Subscriptions' from the menu.
Next, select 'Apple TV' from the list of subscriptions and then 'See All Plans'. Finally, you will see a screen with two options: $15.99 per month or $129 per year. Select the annual option and confirm your payment details with Face ID or your Apple ID password.
If you're in the middle of a free trial, you won't be charged the Annual Plan price until after your seven days are up.
