Have you ever looked at your credit card statement and found you've been paying for a streaming service you're not actually using that you can't even remember signing up for? I'm certainly guilty, and I'm certain I'm not the only one. After all, there are countless subscription services out there, and it feels like there are more to pick from every week.
SubHub is Optus' solution for this. Instead of directly subscribing to a service - such as Amazon Prime - through the provider, you can subscribe through Optus and get it on the same monthly bill as your phone or internet plan. Not only should this make it easier to keep track of what you're subscribing to and toggle off services you're not actively using, Optus will even give you a discount if you subscribe to two or more at the same time. Select Optus mobile and internet plans even include a $10 or $20 monthly credit towards SubHub subscriptions.
How do you sign up to SubHub?
To use SubHub, you need to be an existing Optus customer and login into the SubHub website using your Optus username and password. You can also find this link in the My Optus app on iPhone and Android. Prepaid customers are not currently eligible for SubHub.
SubHub is available exclusively to Optus postpaid mobile and home internet customers. If you want to nab the monthly credit, you will need to sign up for one of the eligible plans. If you're not a customer, here are its current SIM-only plans:

How much does SubHub cost?
SubHub doesn't cost anything in itself. Instead, you use it buy subscription services at their going market price, and these are then added to your monthly Optus bill rather than the service provider. It is however worth noting that you can't pay for a year upfront on services like Amazon Prime or Paramount Plus (in exchange for a deeper discount) and there are select deals through providers, like Kayo Sports, that aren't available through SubHub.
How much of a discount can I get on SubHub?
If you subscribe to multiple services through SubHub, you can get a discount on your total monthly bill. You'll save 5% if you subscribe to at least two services and 10% if you subscribe to three or more services. Not every subscription is eligible for a discount, however.
At the time of updating this article, Netflix, DAZN, Kayo Sports, Amazon Prime Video and Spacetalk were the only services eligible for the stacking discount.
With that said, you can still save money on any SubHub subscription with select Optus plans. For example, the Optus Mobile Promo Plan comes with a $10 monthly credit to spend on your SubHub subscriptions, while the Large Choice Plus and Ultrafast NBN Plan offer a $20 monthly credit.
Can I move my existing accounts to SubHub?
You can move your existing Netflix, DAZN, Spacetalk, and Microsoft 365 subscriptions to SubHub. For all other services, you'll need to start a new subscription.
Are there SubHub exclusive offers?
Optus has a number of offers running for customers who subscribe to services through SubHub. These regularly change, but at time of writing, these are as follows:
- 1 month of Microsoft Office 365
- 3 months of Kindle Unlimited
Several services also have free trials through SubHub that range from seven-days to one-month.
Can I use SubHub if I'm not an Optus customer?
No. SubHub is only available to Optus customers, excluding those who only have prepaid.
