Every streaming service offers something unique. Apple TV Plus? Exclusive content only? Hayu? It's one of the cheapest on offer. Shudder? Horror content only. And now we hear Pluto TV has launched. So what's its unique claim to fame?
What is Pluto TV?
Pluto TV promises both live and on-demand content from movies and TV shows across a variety of languages and genres. As it's owned by Paramount, it falls under 10Play.
Much like Facebook, Pluto TV's selling point is it promises to be free and always will be. That's a huge statement given all the streaming service price hikes over the last year — yeah, we're looking at you Disney Plus, Paramount Plus and Kayo Sports. But the catch? Its channels are ad-supported.

Pluto TV alternatives
Naturally, there are plenty of other streaming services to choose from if you're looking for a service other than Pluto TV.
Netflix: This streaming service giant is undoubtedly one of the most popular names in the game.
Stan: This homegrown option offers a wide range of content, including originally-made TV shows and exclusive programming from the Showtime network plus sports. Price-wise plans are similar to what you'll pay for Netflix.
Binge: This Foxtel-owned service starts at just $10 per month and is where you'll find plenty of big-name content you'd normally need to subscribe to Foxtel for. Binge includes titles like Succession, Euphoria, The Last of Us and The Walking Dead.

Though it's one of the pricier services at $13.99 per month, you'll never be bored on Disney Plus with shows like Ahsoka, the new season of Futurama and The Bear.
