Telstra Movie Tickets: Everything you need to know

Telstra might be one of the priciest telcos around but being a Big T customer comes with more than a few perks. One of the most popular Telstra perks is discounted movie tickets - and unsurprisingly so, going to the cinema is expensive. So if you're keen to save some cash, here's everything you need to know about Telstra's cheap movie ticket offer.

Which Telstra customers are eligible for cheap movie tickets?

To get discounted movie tickets through Telstra, you have to be part of the Telstra Plus loyalty program. Telstra Plus is opt-in, so you'll need to register even if you're already a customer. To join Telstra Plus you need to:

Be over 18
Have an active Telstra personal service. This can be a postpaid mobile plan, a prepaid mobile plan, a mobile broadband plan, or a fixed line internet plan.
Have a Telstra ID. If you don't have one, you can register for one here.

Once you're ready, you can either sign-up through the Telstra website, or the Telstra 24x7 app on iOS and Android. Click on the join Telstra Plus button and follow the instructions.

What cinemas can I get discounted Telstra movie tickets for?

Telstra offers discounted movie tickets for Event Cinemas, Great Union, Birch Carrol & Coyle, Village Cinemas, and Moonlight Cinemas.

How much do Telstra movie tickets cost?

Telstra movie tickets cost $12.50 for an adult, or $11.50 for a child. Tickets for 3D movies are $15.50, and tickets for Vmax movies are $16.50. You'll pay $3 extra after 5pm for sessions after 5pm on Saturday or on a public holiday.

Telstra offers Gold Class tickets for $32 on Thursdays.

In addition, Telstra Plus members can upgrade a Medium Candy Bar Combo to a Large for free.

How to get Telstra movie tickets

The easiest way to book Telstra movie tickets is through the website, by following this link. You'll need to sign into your Telstra ID in order to purchase a ticket.

After you have, you can search for movies by cinema or by title. Once you've selected your movie and session time, you'll be transferred to the cinema website to complete your purchase.
