Who is SpinTel?

Founded in Sydney, New South Wales in 1996 under a different name, Spin Internet Services had an initial interest in dial-up internet. In 2011, SpinTel officially changed its name and expanded into mobile broadband and SIM-only plans as a Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO).

What network does SpinTel use?

SpinTel operates on the Optus network which, at the time of writing, covers 98.5% of the Australian population. See if SpinTel is available in your area using our interactive coverage map below:

FAQs

How do I pay my SpinTel bill?

SpinTel bills monthly in advance and can be paid through the My Account portal of its website. Your first month's call, text and data allowance will be on a pro-rata basis. You will receive a proportion of your call, text and data allowances based on the days left in the month. This is until your account aligns with the start of the next billing cycle. Bills can be paid via a number of credit or debit cards, through PayPal or direct debit, which is the only method of payment that doesn’t attract a processing fee.

How do I switch SpinTel mobile plans?

You are eligible to change your plan at any time, and that change will be effective as of the next billing month.

How do I cancel my SpinTel Plan?

Only the account holder or an authorised contact may cancel a plan. Because SpinTel services are billed in advance when you cancel a service any unused amount paid in advance won’t be refunded. We, therefore, recommend cancelling your plan towards the end of your current bill cycle. Also, note you may also be charged an early termination fee if your service is still in contract.
