Apple has launched AppleCare One in Australia, allowing multiple devices to be covered under a single monthly plan. Starting at $29.99 per month, AppleCare One covers three devices, and extra devices can be added for $8.99 per month per device.
iPhones, Apple Watches, Macs, and iPads can all be covered by AppleCare One. As part of AppleCare One, theft and loss protection is available for iPhone, Apple Watch, and iPad, but not for Mac. Apple says a user can save up to $18.48 with an AppleCare One subscription protecting an iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch when compared to individual subscriptions.
While AppleCare Plus normally needs to be purchased within 30 days of buying a new Apple device, AppleCare One can be added to devices bought in the last four years that are in good working order. Essentially, if the screen isn't cracked, the buttons still work, and it powers on, the device can be protected.
As part of setting up AppleCare One, users may be asked to take photos of their product. Alternatively, they can take their device into a store for diagnostics.
AppleCare Plus is still available for people who want to cover just one device.
