
Aussie Broadband now has eSIM mobile plans, allowing customers to pick between the new technology and a traditional physical SIM card.
Existing Aussie Broadband mobile customers can swap to eSIM through the MyAussie app. Customers will also need to either call or live chat with the Aussie Broadband support team to move their eSIM from one device to another. New customers can between an eSIM and a physical SIM when signing up for a plan.
eSIM - an electronic SIM or embedded SIM - is a rewritable SIM card that’s built into a cellular device like a smartphone or smartwatch. Unlike a physical SIM, there's no need to pop open a slot or pry off a case to put it in; an eSIM never leaves your phone. Instead, you simply download a "software SIM" from your provider of choice.

Aussie Broadband's adoption of eSIM means there are now only a small handful of providers in the WhistleOut database that don't support eSIM. The main holdouts largely include brands on the Optus network, including Coles Mobile, Dodo, iPrimus, and OnePass Mobile.
