Aldi Mobile is introducing a limited time "1 Year Super Pack" for those willing to pay a bit more money upfront to save more in the long run.
For a one-off $249 fee, you get unlimited talk and text and 42GB of data to use how you like across the 365 day period. This works out to 3.5GB per month, for what would equate to $20.75 per month. No international credit is included, video MMS will cost extra, and if you need extra data, Aldi Mobile will give you an extra 2GB for $15.
If you're happy to be locked in to a plan for a year, it's a pretty good deal when compared to similar cost prepaid and BYO device plans. Of course, the risk is that by taking up a year-long contract, you don't have the freedom to swap to higher inclusion plans if they become available.
Here's what $20 or so per month gets you currently:
Aldi Mobile's 1 Year Super Pack will be available through Aldi stores Australia-wide from February 4 as part of the retailer's Special Buys program. It will be sold for a limited time only. Existing Aldi Mobile customers interested in the Super Pack will still need to head into a physical store to get a voucher to activate the deal.
Aldi Mobile is powered by Telstra's 4G network.
