Welcome to a stroll down memory lane.

To celebrate International Day of Old Stuff (yes, this is a real thing) the WhistleOut team is sharing our first and favourite phones. We're proudly showing our age while we're at it. Hands up who owned a phone with a visible antenna!

Adeline: Nokia 3310

My first phone was a Nokia 3310. It was unbreakable and I was unbeatable at the snake game. Also sending a text meant mastering a high level of dexterity.

Mike: Nokia 7260

Not my first but definitely one of my favourites was the Nokia 7260. The phone that looked like Snake, even when you weren’t playing it.

Sally: Samsung e530

I bought this mainly due to the size and colour. Pink was awesome back in the day! I LOVED this phone. It had a colour screen, time and notifications on the front cover screen. Great ringtones, smooth to hold and the flip made a great sound when closed.

Nick: Nokia 121

I was fresh out of university and I landed my first job and I was give the beautiful Nokia 121. None of my friends had a mobile phone so it was quite a novelty. I remember how cool I felt when it rang and I unclipped it from my belt and popped the aerial, people though that I was a spy or I was working for NASA.

My next phone was a BlackBerry 7100 with a scroll wheel. It still rates as one of my favourite phones of all time.

Sara: Nokia 6085

I remember feeling so cool with a flip phone. I loved just flipping it open and closed. I couldn't wait to pull it out of my bag (it wouldn't fit in my pocket!) to show everyone how cool I was with this amazing phone - I still have it at home

Audrey: Samsung SGH a800

I also loved that my first phone was a flip phone, and I remember how when you wanted to send a text you had to count the letters so you were sending only 1 text, otherwise I would blow my 20 texts a month budget!

Kenny: Nokia 5110

I'm pretty sure my first phone was a Nokia 5110. I remember always having to put it in my pocket the right way around so I didn't bend the antenna, seeing the big signal bar change madly as you moved from place to place, the battery lasting for ages, and of course, playing snake until there wasn't a single pixel free

Crystal: Sony Ericsson W890i

I got my first phone pretty late in 2010. I think it was the Sony Ericsson W890i. I remember it was quite slim with an awesome Walkman music player!

Mohamed: HTC P3300

I loved the idea of having a phone with touch screen that could be my organiser with calendar and email. Even now, I almost exclusively use HTC phones.

Alicia: Ericsson GH 688

Mine was an Ericsson. It was my 21st birthday present, and I thought it was the sleekest thing I'd ever seen.

Arpita: Motorola T191

I loved this Phone and the funniest part was that I used to accessorise it with a little light that you'd hang from the top that would flash every time you got an SMS or a calls. I thought it was so cool and stylish.

Pete: Sony CMD-C1

It wasnt my first, but my fav was the 'ol sony cmd-c1. Everyone thought it was a TV remote control so were continually trying to change channels on the TV when I was at anyones house. Good times.

Jason: Ericsson flip phone

I don't even remember specifically which model this was, but it was one of my faves. Back when small was good. Something very satisfying about flipping it closed too.
