Foxtel has confirmed a price hike is imminent, less than two weeks after jointly securing the broadcasting rights to NRL and NRLW matches alongside Nine Entertainment.
The staggering seven-year $5.3 billion deal means costs will need to be recouped somewhere. And that's where Foxtel customers come in. Foxtel's packages will increase by $5 per month this September, up from the current pricing of $103 to $150 per month.

As of yet, it has not been confirmed whether Kayo Sports pricing will be impacted. Kayo already increased its prices earlier this year already and while the NRL and NRLW broadcast rights deal also positively affecting to the popular sports streaming app, another price bump so soon would rub customers the wrong way. Below is where Kayo's current pricing stands:
Since prices won't go up until September 1 (which is the EXACT same date prices increased on Foxtel last year), current and new customers locked into a 12-month plan will continue with their secured pricing until their plan's duration has finished. Once their 12-months are up, they will simply switch over to the new rates. Here's what those rates will look like:
| Plan | Current monthly price |
New monthly price |
Discounted monthly price* |
|---|---|---|---|
| Movies | $103 | $108 | $69 |
| Sport | $108 | $113 | $69 |
| Sport + Movies | $133 | $138 | $84 |
| Platinum Plus | $150 | $155 | $99 |
*Monthly discounted pricing is correct as of July 20, 2026 and is subject to change.
