
According to Netflix's own help page, the ability to add a different email address to secondary adult profiles offers "a more personalised way to sign into Netflix, and to receive recommendations and communications tailored to your profile".
WhistleOut tested a few Netflix accounts and verified that Australian users haven't been restricted from accessing further profiles yet. But the option to add a secondary email to additional profiles is available.

The streamer has been leading the charge on delivering a poorer streaming experience for a few years now.
Netflix was the first streamer to crack down on password sharing in 2023. It also introduced the idea of paying for "extra members", a way to charge people using the same account in different households — another anti-consumer move affecting co-parenting families, long-distance couples or even singles who regularly access Netflix from multiple different locations.
It has also led the charge on introducing ad-supported tiers and then removing old plans so that all users had to cop ads for the lowest priced plans.
If you're frustrated with more changes on the horizon, there's only one way to send a message: cancel your subscription. There are plenty of other streaming options that are cheaper and better than Netflix.
