Vodafone mobile customers now get a NBN speed boost

Vodafone refreshed its bundle offer for customers who have both a postpaid mobile plan and an NBN plan with the provider. Instead of getting a discount each month, Vodafone customers who bundle now get a free speed boost to the next NBN speed tier.

NBN 25 customers are bumped to NBN 50, NBN 50 customers are bumped to NBN 100, and so forth. This still works out to be a saving of between $5 and $10 per month, so the discount hasn’t changed, but the mechanism is slightly different.

A Vodafone spokesperson told WhistleOut that the change better aligns with the telco's "goal of being the home of high-speed internet".

"It ensures our customers can fully utilise the advantages of high-speed broadband while still getting great value from Vodafone," said the spokesperson.

Nothing changes for Vodafone customers who were previously getting bundle discounts on their NBN plan. The new structure only applies for new customers.

To be eligible for the speed upgrade, customers' postpaid mobile plan and NBN plan must be on the same account and have the same billing name and billing address.
