Motorola has announced local availability for its latest foldable phones - the Razr Fold and Razr 70 Ultra - with both devices now available for pre-order ahead of a July 16 release date. Notably, anyone who picks up either handset before August 5 will get it at a discounted price.
While the Razr Fold will normally retail for $2,799, it is currently priced at $2,399 as an introductory offer. Similarly, the Razr 70 Ultra will retail for $1,999, but is currently priced at $1,799.
The Razr Fold is Motorola's first book-style foldable, designed to compete with devices like Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold 7 and OPPO's Find N6. It has an external 6.6-inch display and an internal 8.1-inch display. The internal screen has a 120Hz refresh rate, while the external display has a slightly faster 165Hz refresh rate.
Other key specs include a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, 12GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, eSIM support, IP49 water-resistance, and a 6,000mAh battery. The camera setup includes a 50MP primary lens, 50MP ultra-wide lens, and 50MP 3x zoom lens. These are the same cameras found on the Motorola Signature. They're joined by a 20MP selfie camera on the external display, and a 32MP selfie camera on the internal display.
The Razr Fold will get seven years of operating system updates and seven years of security updates.

Meanwhile, the flip-style Razr 70 Ultra has a 4-inch external display and 7-inch internal display, both with a 165Hz refresh rate. Other key specifications include a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, 12GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, eSIM support, IP48-water resistance, and a 5,000mAh battery. The phone has a 50MP primary camera, 50MP ultra-wide, and 50MP selfie camera.
The Razr 70 Ultra will get three years of operating system upgrades, and four years of security updates. Other Android phones in its price bracket get at least five years of operating system upgrades, with Samsung foldables receiving seven.
Both the Razr Fold and Razr 70 Ultra are available outright through JB Hi-Fi and Harvey Norman. The Razr Fold will also be available on a mobile plan through Telstra.
