Understandably, the House of the Mouse streaming service isn't who you'd normally think of when it comes to signing up for sports content. However, in 2025 Disney Plus acquired the rights to ESPN content. This covers two live ESPN channels, Major League Baseball, National Basketball League, NCAA Football, FIBA EuroBasket, UFC and a range of other sports like Cricket, Softball, Lacrosse, Soccer (or Football), Ice Hockey, Gymnastics, Volleyball, Swimming, Diving and more.
There's also a selection of sporting documentaries to enjoy or, if you're looking for something really unusual, check out ESPN's The Ocho channel. It houses some of the strangest sports like Corgi Racing, Slippery Stairs, Major League Paintball and Dog Surfing.
Also keep an eye out for deals on Disney Plus as these happen more often than you may think.

If you want access to Kayo content plus some premium TV shows too, you might want to consider a subscription to Foxtel Now.
With Foxtel Now you will need to purchase the $35 Essentials starter pack first. The Essentials starter pack will give you access to selected award-winning shows from Foxtel like The Last of Us, Euphoria and House of the Dragon.
Once you've got the Essentials starter pack you can then add its Sports + Movies Bundle. This will usually set you back an extra $84 per month, however until October 21 new customers can add it on for just $58 per month. So how does Foxtel compare to Kayo? Essentially you'll get all of Kayo's content, including NBA, NFL, NRL, NRLW, AFL, F1, Cricket, Supercars, UFC and Football. Just note, you won't have access to Kayo special features, like Split Screen and Key Moments.

If you want access to all of Foxtel's sports but don't want to pay Foxtel prices, you're in luck! Because every sport Foxtel has to offer is also available on the pay TV giant's streaming service, Kayo.
Despite being owned by Foxtel, Kayo still don't get the State of Origin matches live or the NRL and NRLW Grand Finals but you can stream the post-match games on Kayo though. In March 2025, Kayo also became unavailable to regional areas.

Kayo includes some unique sports streaming features, like Split Screen, which allows viewers to watch up to four different games/sports simultaneously. Key Moments is another interesting feature, which shows you the best parts of a match to skip to if you just want the highlights. Kayo users can also choose to activate a No Spoilers button. This will hide scores and key moments as you enter the app in case you've missed the big game and log onto Kayo to catch up.
At the time of writing, its Standard plan sits at $30 per month. But if you opt for its Premium tier at $40 per month, you'll be upgraded to two screens and they don't have to be in the same household. So if you share an account with a mate, you'll both pay just $20 per month for a shared subscription, saving each of you $10 per month. Plus you'll get 4K access!
