Foxtel Go revamped with HD and Chromecast support

Foxtel has released a long awaited update to Foxtel Go, adding high definition streaming for all users and Chromecast and AirPlay support for Foxtel multiroom subscribers. Foxtel Go content was previously only available in standard definition.

Foxtel Go is the free mobile and browser based companion app traditional Foxtel subscribers can use to stream content when away from home. It is available on iOS, Android, and in Chrome and Safari.

Up to two users can stream through Foxtel Go at a single time. If you want to use Foxtel Go with a Chromecast or AirPlay device, you'll need to add multiroom to your Foxtel subscription for an extra $25 per month. Ouch.

Today's news comes ahead of an October Foxtel Now refresh that will see the standalone streaming service restructured and cost a minimum of $25 per month.
