From March 21, Kayo Sports' AFL offering will expand to include an additional 16 Victorian Football League (VFL) matches, guaranteeing at least one match per round during the initial 13 rounds of the Smithy's VFL.
VFL games are to AFL what the NSWRL is to NRL premiership games, or what preliminary matches are to the main card events in UFC. They're often the games that are played prior to the main event. This means fans can get amped up for the AFL with an extra VFL game prior, which will also be streamed live.
The first match to be broadcast live on Kayo Sports will be between Richmond Tigers and Southport Sharks at 10:00am (AEDT) on Saturday, March 21.
VFL coverage on Kayo will also be accessible on both Foxtel and Foxtel Now's sports channels and internationally via WatchAFL, which expands AFL's reach beyond Australia.
