An official reveal of the Pixel 11 and its sibling devices is just over a month away.
As per an invitation sent out to US-based tech media earlier this week, Google's next hardware showcase will take place in New York on August 12 at 6pm ET. For Aussies looking to tune in live via the livestream, the difference in time zones translates to a start time of around 8am AEST on August 13.
This timeline roughly squares with the one for last year's Google Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold – which were announced in August 2025. As usual though, Google is playing coy as to everything that this event might offer a sneak peek at.
In the past, the company has often used its major hardware showcases to debut new accessories like the Pixel Buds alongside its mainstream devices. However, based on the limited information in the invitation, the focus at this stage seems to be on the next generation of Pixel devices.
If the past is any precedent, this lineup is expected to encompass the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro and Pixel 11 Pro Fold. Of course, the elephant in the room here has less to do with the hardware and more to do with the asking price involved.
Price hikes amid the components crisis have been a common trend for smartphone manufacturers this year and early leaks suggest that a similar inflation may be coming for Google’s smartphones sooner rather than later.
