"Hi Barbie".
Barbie took 2023 by storm thanks in part to an incredible marketing strategy, a premiere date clash with the biographical thriller Oppenheimer, and a very talented cast.
If you didn't catch it in cinemas or just wanted to watch it over and over to your heart's content you're in luck as it launches on streaming.
Where to stream Barbie in Australia
Barbie will be available to stream on Binge across Australia from May 8.
If you're not already signed up to Binge you're in luck. You can get a seven-day free trial.
Here are Binge's streaming plans:
When is Barbie available to stream in Australia?
Barbie will be available to watch on Binge in Australia from May 8, 2024.
What is Barbie about?
Barbie is a now-classic tale about one doll's journey of self-discovery. The titular "stereotypical" Barbie (Margot Robbie) and Ken (Ryan Gosling) whose job is "beach" embark on a journey from Barbie Land to the real world after Barbie starts experiencing strange symptoms.
While there, they each take away their own lessons from humanity - for better and for worse.
What is Binge?
Binge is the home of HBO in Australia which includes shows like The Last of Us, House of the Dragon, The White Lotus as well as countless reality TV series and blockbuster films like Barbie and incidentally Oppenheimer.
A Binge subscription starts from $10 per month for the Basic plan which allows you to stream on one device. For $18 a month you can simultaneously stream on two devices at once, or you can get up to four devices streaming at once for $22 per month.
How does Binge compare?
When it comes to price Binge is one of the cheaper entertainment streaming services. It's a couple of dollars cheaper a month than Stan and Disney Plus and Netflix's ad-free plans.
It has a wide variety of film and TV but no original content of its own though you're unlikely to find many of the prestige dramas that call Binge home anywhere else.
