Arthouse and independent cinema streamer MUBI is offering 40% off its monthly price for 12 months. Here in Australia, that brings the monthly price down to $8.99, from $14.99 per month. Over the course of your first year, you'll save $72 in total, but you can still cancel at any time.
This isn't an "annual" plan where you pay for an entire year upfront, but rather a discounted monthly payment that lasts for 12 months. After the 12th month, you will automatically be charged the ongoing, regular monthly price of $14.99 per month until you cancel.
MUBI also comes with a seven-day free trial so you can try before you buy, even with the discounted pricing.
What is MUBI?
If the name MUBI doesn't ring a bell, it's a genuinely unique streaming service that favours quality over quantity. It might not have the breadth of a service like Netflix, but it does offer a more concentrated selection of arthouse and independent films.
Some of the service's most popular movies right now include the 2025 Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson thriller Die My Love and the Oscar-winning animated film Flow, as well as other critically-acclaimed flicks, like The Mastermind, Aftersun, Mulholland Drive and The Worst Person in the World.
MUBI is available on a decent range of streaming devices, including Apple and Android smartphones and tablets, Google TV Streamer, Chromecast, Apple TV 4K, PlayStation consoles, most web browsers and a few smart TVs (including Samsung, LG, Sony and Android TV).
