Just over a year since it last raised prices in Australia, Netflix has once again ratcheted up the cost of its three subscription tiers. Following the same trend from last year, Netflix plans have gone up between $2 and $3 per month, resulting in a 10% annual increase for Premium subscribers in Australia.
How much is Netflix now?
Netflix Basic with Ads now costs $9.99, up from $7.99 per month, Standard now costs $20.99, up from $18.99 per month, and Premium subscribers will pay the biggest increase at $28.99, up from $25.99 per month.
Here's how pricing across Netflix plans now compares:

At the start of 2024, Netflix plans cost $6.99 for Standard with Ads, $16.99 for Standard and $22.99 for Premium. Compared with today’s pricing changes, that’s a 43% increase to the cheapest Netflix plan in just over a year, and a 25% increase to ad-free Netflix over the same time frame.
At the same time of this latest Netflix price hike, Australian streamer Binge is offering its Annual Pass plans at almost 50% off.
