At Disney’s annual D23 celebration this week, the deluge of Marvel, Star Wars and Pixar announcements was overshadowed by a big announcement about a little Blue Heeler. After a long wait, families across the world were finally given a glimpse at the Bluey movie, which is scheduled to be released in August 2027.

Given the announcement was made by Disney (which is how the rest of the world watches Bluey), you may be wondering exactly where you will be able to stream The Bluey Movie after its theatrical run next year.

It’s such a going national concern that the Queensland government made an official statement in late 2024, confirming that The Bluey Movie would, in fact, head to the free ad-supported streaming service ABC iview and ABC Kids after its initial theatrical release. According to the statement, The Bluey Movie will also be available to stream via the paid streaming service, Disney Plus. We’ve reached out to Disney Plus for confirmation.
